In Sydney, we entered our first lockdown earlier this year, around July 2021. I’ve done a few single session yoga classes from DVD or youtube, and I found Yoga with Adriene to be a good, clear, light hearted yoga instructor.

After first picking “breath”, mostly as it was the newest, then some research on reddit, around which 30 day challenge was best to start with and progress with, we picked our order of 30 days of YWA (Yoga with Adriene). It’s now been 86 days of daily yoga practice, sometimes moving our morning schedule around and waking up earlier, waiting for later some days, but it’s been worthwhile in the medium term.

The order I followed is:

  1. Breath
  2. Home
  3. 30 days of yoga (the original in 2015

I now have these remaining to choose from, most likley in this order:

I also added in some other exercise most days, usually starting my day with a shot of fire tonic, then a local walk with our dog, normally 20 minutes to help my back and legs get moving, then to yoga after an espresso or flat white from our kitchen. The extra session was either a run with Nike Run Club app or a BJJ yoga youtube video.
